If there was an unofficial theme to this year’s Tenant-in-Common Association Annual Conference, it could probably be summed up this way: While the industry has been enjoying a honeymoon of phenomenal growth and capital inflows, establishing broadly accepted ethics, standards and best practices—for the sake of investors at least as much as for industry professionals—is crucial for the business’ long haul.
