Update: LXP Buys $768M Wells Portfolio

A sizable portfolio of 27 properties will change hands next month when New York City-based Lexington Corporate Properties Trust is scheduled to close on a $768-million acquisition from Wells Real Estate Investment Trust Inc. and affiliates of Atlanta. LXP is said to be one of six investors to make an offer on the full portfolio, while more made offers on portions of the portfolio; other interested parties were REITs, funds and institutional advisors.
