Atlanta-based net-lease buyer Highland Equity Group LLC was formed in early 2003 by Michael A. Klump, a founder and vice chairman of the private shopping center REIT, and John P. Sengson, who was an acquisition officer with Equity Investment Group. Highland currently has a portfolio of more than 1 million sf of properties valued at more than $100 million.
