New Wave Of Investment Could Come From China
By Benjamin Mark Cole In a move that could have enormous long-term ramifications for the US real estate market, the Chinese government has relaxed capital controls to make it easier for companies and individuals to invest overseas. As a result of recently announced changes, Chinese banks will be allowed to pool yuan deposits and convert them into foreign currencies for investment in overseas bonds. The changes could eventually trigger the investment of billions of dollars into US real estate, experts predict.
